Around King Arthur's Table Checklist
Problem statement
The King Arthur problem is a game similar to musical chairs. You sit in a chair and someone will tell you if you're in or out. It goes like this ,"First chair you're in, second chair you're out, third chair in, and so on. You will notice all the even numbers are out, which leads to all odd numbers onto second round. The second round goes back to one being in and the same process is repeated. Depending on how many people there are you will always come back to one being in. You keep repeating the steps until you have one winner in.
process
My first attempts was counting my groups members by seeing who was in and who was out. There was only four of us, so the only ins that made the next round were 1 and 3. Since there was another table with empty I tried again, so there was "6" in total. The new numbers that were in were 1,3,and 5. The even numbers that were out were 2,4,6. When it came to trying attempts with my group we all were assigned different numbers to work with to proving that it will always reset to one. Once we found the pattern we realized that it will be risen to the power of something.
solution
A solution we came up with was to repeating the step we did until we got to 93 winning. We figured it out it took 6 rounds for one not to be the winning seat. All I tried was writing all number out to 99 then started on who was in or out. I honestly forgot the formula, but I can recreate one to understand how this works when it comes to a winning seat.
Self reflection
The thing that pushed my thinking was to fully understand on why all the odd numbers were soon to be out. I soon realized that it was basically a game of who was in and the outs were losers who didn't make it to next round and so on.That's why it made more sense on why some odd numbers got out on second round. If it wasn't for Thalia for explaining me the rounds of the table game then I would have probably never guessed it or gotten it on the last minute. I sometimes don't recognize when I need or reufe to get/admit I need help because I believe I could do it all on my own. Turns out I'm hurting myself by letting myself down. I sometimes do feel comfortable asking question when I don't get something, but also lose it because I feel like the whole class is ahead of me, and I feel like I'll get called out. I feel like our group didn't interact with each other well because no one check in on no one. One particular female group mate just goes over it fast when I ask her attempts and how it's done, but doesn't ask if I understand it. Since I didn't take the group quiz due to absence I wouldn't have know how I've done. Over all I give myself a 9/10 due to the fact I didn't take the group qiz, but went through everything else, including this write.
