creative process
The creative process is to tell the difference between an abstracted observation versus an observation by itself. Throughout this semester I've used the creative process to help me develop me abstracted observations. When we first started this I had to use my frame multiple times. I keep having to redo my drawings in my journal to get it just right. When to drawing an object I had gotten somewhat better at abstracted observations. Even with drawing the flower I wanted to make sure I have used my skills to create the best drawing of it.
This here is my first abstracted observation before I attempted a second one over, and over again.
Scientific process
The scientific process is looking back at your observations to come up with with a hypothesis. Once you've made observations, and made an hypothesis you have to collect data such as measurements, notes, and drawings at each stage. After you have these things down, you have to come up with an analysis and a conclusion. I applied this to the flower which we had to dissect in order to come up with a hypothesis after we've made observations. I had drew what the flower looked like using abstracted observations, and coming up with measurements. As we did this we drew the flower at each stage it developed. From there we had made an conclusion that we eat plants ovaries, which are the fruit.
Challenges
The challenges that I've faced was changing my first abstracted observation multiple times. This was because my teacher wanted me to elaborate on it more to better understand the process for upcoming assignments. I was struggling to make sure I met the requirements of what my teacher wanted me to get out of it. Once I understood the process I applied this method on the object we got to have more practice on using our framing device to really draw what I was seeing. I had improved on this instead of trying to draw the whole object as it was in front of me.
This drawing is the one I kept redoing doing over, and over again until I got it it just right
most proud work
I'm most proud of the flower dissection, and the notes and drawings I did. I've really gotten to enjoy this project with all of the things we got to do. I've helped contribute my best possible work to my group, and really got the most out of it by learning about the pollen, stigma, and how we're really ovaries, which is known as fruit. I better understand that flowers can reproduce, and how they reproduce with pollen on the stigma. Pollen can either be carried by the wind or animals to be able to reproduce. I really like how everything came out to show my growth of learning.
