My final products
This next part of the project was to draw two systems related to our stories. This is another way of showing our learning on how our organs in our bodies work, and why we do the things we do.My final products are about the nervous system, and how I was so nervous all the time at La Presa Middle. The images that I drew are the heart and brain. I chose to draw the heart because it would always beat fast, and my hands would get sweaty. The second drawing was a brain showing how they brought on my tics, and how I would just do it nonstop. I'd do both vocal and motor tics. My power comes from finding a way to tell my feelings when it came to the end of my 8th grade year. I was finally able to stand up for myself of how the teachers treated me. I was in the fight or flight response mode, and my homeostasis had by body temperature warm. I felt the warmth in my cheeks and throughout my whole body. I was just yelling being frustrated with what I've I been through.
Now that I have a better understanding of how my body works from my nervous system, I have ways to reduce my stress. Now I will meditate more often which has helped me reduce my stress. Meditation can help calm my anxiety down, and reduce my stress levels. I want to be able to meditate three times a week, so I won't be so tired by the end of the week. I'm always stressing, and my body temperature can get a little heated causing me to sweat. My homeostasis isn't at it's regular temperature, and I catch myself doing my vocal tics. My heart rate becomes faster getting so worried of what was to come. Meditation has made me become more aware of my feelings, and has gotten me to stop doing my tics at the moment.
