A Love sonnet
original sonnetSabrina Perez
9th Grade Humanities Ms. Shirk May 10, 2016 Me Do I dare stop being so into me? Looking at beautiful me in the mirror Checking myself out, liking what I see! Staring at me til my aunt is nearer Soft skin, brown hair, pretty brown eyes that stare Then she walks in, asks what I’m doing I say nothing and continue my glare I stand there adoring myself, wooing She tells me I’m conceited, but I know Always getting lost in my reflection As I smile I’m always in a whoa! Love giving myself the most attention! Sabrina Perez always looking fine Heart is taken forever being mine |
descriptionThis has to be a sonnet about love because Ms.Britt challenged us to do a harder writing piece. The reason we had to do a love sonnet because we read Romeo and Juliet. This sonnet was both hard and easy at the same time. I knew I wanted to write about me because I love myself so much, but at the same time I didn't know how to start off.

reflectionThis sonnet process was easy to come up with a topic, but the challenging part was to start it off. At first I tried to write about my nephews, but then I realized I had a better topic, which was me. I thought how I wanted it to start off, so I had wrote down ideas on how I should start and end it. In the end I love my sonnet about myself, and I will make revisions on my own time.
